Room Tour

Now that my room is finally semi finished I thought I would show you around my new room. This room is a hell of a lot smaller compared to my old bedroom but I kind of like it that way. Shannan has the biggest room and we both love our rooms so it’s worked out perfectly for us.

Over view of my bedroom

This is the overall look of my room. This is literally all of my room in the picture bar my wardrobe and washing basket which I didn’t think you’d want to see. My mum and Steve put the shelves up yesterday which allows me a lot more storage. They’re on a little ledge down the side of my bed which also restricts how much space I have in the room. That’s why I decided to get shelves that rest on the ledge and maximise the amount of space that I have. It makes my room look less cluttered which I love. I switch my duvet covers between Harry Potter and Disney because I’m obsessed with both and why not?

The first thing that you really see in my room are these black shelves. I have super high ceilings in my room so it’s perfect to have tall shelves. This section is filled with my Harry Potter special edition books and all my merch aka Sirius Black’s wand and my chocolate frog wrapper etc. I also have the screen write of the ‘Crimes of Grindelwald’ and ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’. I have my other Harry Potter books that I read more because they’re more battered but these are more for show. I also have a large book that I got for Christmas this year that shows the transition from the books to movies. It shows you behind the scenes of how it was all achieved and it’s really fascinating if you’re a Harry Potter nerd like me. I also have the complete collection of ‘Winnie the Pooh’ stories.

In between my two shelves I have two film sells and the ‘Marauders Map’. I decided to put these here to break up the space a little bit. I could have chose to put a mirror there but decided these fitted much better. The two film sells are some of the best presents I’ve ever received and hold such a special place in my heart.

Next, you have my bed. This is the bed that I took from my dad’s house. You can see what I mean when I say I’m not left with a lot of space between my bed and the wall but I don’t mind. It’s the perfect space to put my work bag. Above my bed I also have my stag head. I brought this a couple of years ago and I just love it. I feel like it just adds something unique to my room and it fits perfectly in the centre, right under the window.

One of the last things in my room is this ‘Thomas Kindle Disney Calendar’. I saw this on Facebook and tagged my mum in it hoping she’d get it for me. It’s a tradition that every year we all get a new calendar with our Christmas presents and I was ecstatic to see that I got it. I just love the paintings so much and Thomas Kindle is such an amazing artist. I’m going to have multiple of his Disney paintings when I get my own place some day and I can’t wait.

Anyway, there’s a little over view of my bedroom. I hope you enjoyed seeing a peek of what my rooms like and in conjunction what I’m like as a person.

Next week there won’t be a new blog post as I’m taking the week off to just recuperate and spend the time relaxing as I’m finally on annual leave. I hope you guys have a brilliant week and see you soon!

Els xxxx
