Long time, no see guys! My life has been pretty hectic recently and from recently I mean the last couple of months of 2018. I thought I’d just catch you all up to speed with what I’ve been doing since I’ve been gone.
The first major thing that happened is that I’ve moved! I’ve moved into a little flat with my cousin and we both love it so much. We moved the 2nd of January 2019 so it was pretty soon into the new year. We first looked at the flat back in November but it took a while to sort out all the referencing etc. It’s been a busy time but I’m so glad to be in here now and sharing this new experience with Shannan. I’ll probably do little sneak peaks of the flat in later blog posts and go more in depth with everything but for now this will suffice.
So this year is the year where I really kickstart my new career. I started working as a HCA last April and I love every second of it but I’ve finally decided that I want to try and become a qualified paramedic. I could do this the uni route but it’s just not right for me with my mental health so I’m going to explore other avenues on how to achieve this dream. Towards the end of last year it was hectic trying to work and fill out forms to even apply for a paramedic and it all got a bit overwhelming so 2019 is going to be the year I sort that out.
Some of you may or may not have known that I was in a long term relationship but now sadly that has ended. I was with him for 2 1/2 years and since I was 16. Our relationship ended back in the September and everything was a bit too raw then to even talk about. I won’t lie to you guys; the decision was made on my behalf and I was the one who eventually ended the relationship. I won’t lie and say it was mutual because it was very one sided on my part and it destroys me to think that I upset him because he’s such a wonderful person. However, it clearly wasn’t meant to be. It’s a very personal subject and one that I won’t discuss in anymore detail as it’s not fair to him.
What this year has in store for me.
For the end of the roundup I thought I would say what this year has in store for me. As far as I’m concerned this year is all about my own personal growth and making myself happy which includes putting me first. I want to start training to become a paramedic by this time next year, I want to save up money for a house deposit and most importantly I want to be happy. I want to be happy and make loads of memories with my nearest and dearest so I’m going to work hard but play just as hard as well.
I know the whole update and new year shebang was very late but hey, it sums me up in a nutshell. Let me know what you want to achieve this year.
